A British helicopter sank in 1996 and now lies at a depth of 16 m. The wreck is completely intact and serves as home to various schools of fish (jacks, groupers, moray eels, octopuses).

Features: The sudden drop allows divers to descend fairly quickly. Marine life includes groupers, moray eels and other small fish, as well as octopus that are best viewed during night dives. The cliff walls contain fossils, and colourful sponges cover the rocks.

Interesting Facts: The tiny chapel of Agioi Anargyroi that is perched over the sea by the dive site is dedicated to twin brothers and saints Cosmas and Damianos, who healed the sick without payment.

Features: This old Greek navy boat has become home to a variety of marine life, including moray eels and groupers, which can be spotted in abundance.

Interesting Facts: This old war ship was donated by the Cyprus Ministry of Defence to be sunk in March 2015 for the purposes of creating an artificial reef with the aim of encouraging the increase of marine life to the area.

Features: This site offers easy access and is the ideal dive for training for the Advanced Open Water (AOW) qualification. Its varied marine life includes groupers, moray eels and large numbers of jacks passing through seasonally.

Interesting Facts: The bottom trawler, Nemesis III was built in France in 1956 and brought to Cyprus in 1987. It was sunk in 2013 in order to create an artificial reef with the aim of encouraging the increase of marine life to the area.

Features: There are fragments of ancient amphorae on the seabed, along with a variety of different fish at the famous ‘fish rock’ feeding station, which includes bream, cuttlefish, parrot fish and star fish, as well as octopus.

Interesting Facts: The popular site of Green Bay is considered to be one of the easiest dives on the island and is perfect for beginner divers and snorkelers as a first introduction to the island’s marine life. It has been approved by PADI and other dive associations as a confined water training area for its courses.

Features: This unusual and interesting artificial reef attracts groupers, moray eels, bream and bass, as well as octopus. Lucky divers may also spot Green and Loggerhead turtles.

Interesting Facts: This was the first and largest artificial reef created on the island in 2009. The 2.5 kilometre square area of the reef was constructed with concrete blocks and has four pyramids forming a square, with approximately another 100 concrete blocks distributed around the site.
